The impact You will create:

• Develop and operate productive data pipelines for reports, analytics and machine learning, and ensure their quality and future viability
• Use your software development skills and set new standards for development and deployment
• Optimize the performance of data engineering solutions and guarantee their scalability
• Ensure data quality and consistency through data validation and cleansing
• Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to minimize downtime
• Implement data security and privacy measures

Experience and skills You will need:

• Enthusiasm for the topics of data engineering and software development
• Analytical skills, independence, hands-on and goal-oriented mentality
• Experience with Python
• Experience with handling big data with Spark/PySpark, ideally with Databricks
• Bonus: Experience with SQL
• Bonus: Experience with developing data pipelines (batch, streaming)
• Some knowledge of the software development cycle and its best practices (e.g. gitflow, CI/CD, DevOps, testing)
