What You'll Do

  • As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to bring data analytics to production at scale in LIDL. Taking part on data teams building data platforms or data products together with data science and data management teams.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and real time) from different sources to insert high volumes of data in our lake and make data available for our stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other data team members in Data management and Data platform in order to implement and improve our data solutions.
  • Data modelling: model our datasets to ease data consumptions for our stakeholders

What You'll Need

  • Languages: Scala/Python and SQL
  • Big Data Frameworks: Databricks, Spark
  • Data Base: relational (SQL Server)
  • CI/CD flows & tools: Azure DevOps
  • Monitoring and alerting tools: Azure Monitoring, Grafana
  • MS’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in software development
  • 2+ years’ experience in Big Data Frameworks
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Experience with data workflow management tools like Airflow
  • Experience in Cloud platforms, specially Microsoft Azure.
  • As a bonus, contribution to open-source projects.
