Your tasks

In your role as a Fullstack Engineer in the Core Services engineering team, you will develop and maintain an expanding set of services that form the backbone for multiple business processes.

By joining this dedicated team, you will create and enhance these fundamental services, ultimately enabling other teams to concentrate their efforts on building specific business capabilities. In addition, you will ensure that the services meet the highest standards of security and reliability.

You will work closely with other engineers, product owners, architects and other business partners to design cloud-native solutions that are both scalable and efficient. Together, you will shape these foundational elements, which serve as the cornerstone for numerous higher-order services implementing crucial business procedures.

• You design, develop, improve and maintain core services for the Purchasing Food division.
• You influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for critical, distributed systems.
• You build software with your colleagues, for which you take end-to-end responsibility (“You build it, you run it”).
• Your tools are Kotlin, Vue.js, Gradle, MongoDb, PostgreSQL, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Prometheus, Grafana, Snyk, SonarQube.

Your profile

• You are an experienced developer who can deliver products in Kotlin and Vue.js. Or alternatively, have solid knowledge and experience in other high-level languages such as Java, C#, Go, and/or Angular/React and would like to switch to Kotlin and/or Vue.js.
• You have extensive knowledge of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and a good understanding of the architecture of cloud-native services.
• You are proactive, recognise problems, improvement opportunities and potential performance bottlenecks and have the intrinsic motivation to work on them.
• You have fluent English skills (business English / level B2) and ideally also good German skills.
• You have a degree in computer science or a related field, e.g. informatics or business informatics, or vocational training as an application developer and corresponding qualifications.

At the same time, we see personal contact and on-site exchange at our office locations in the Heilbronn area as another important success factor in our collaboration. Remote Work outside of Germany is not possible, a relocation is needed.
