What You’ll Do

• As an enterprise architect for modern cloud applications, you develop, implement, and continually improve the architecture of our largely cloud-based applications
• Promote the strict isolation of application modules, with the intention of creating reusable components that can be used many times over throughout the company
• Create prototype applications to demonstrate what modern (and cloud-based) solutions can look like
• Provide ongoing support for the continual development of our e-commerce platform as part of an international rollout and help guide it in the right direction by making the right architectural decisions
• By supporting the development of standardized guidelines and architecture principles for the entire architecture, ensure that architecture is uniform throughout and help sustainably improve the quality and scalability of applications
• Promote architectural and technological innovation within Schwarz IT, playing a key role in ensuring that our applications bring success to Lidl and Kaufland on the market

What You’ll Need

• Degree in information systems and many years of professional experience, or equivalent practical experience demonstrated by references
• Excellent expertise in software development, software design, and software architecture and integration, in particular distributed systems, cloud (GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, API design, open-source software, security, privacy, and domain-specific special technologies (e.g., web front end, web back end, Salesforce, data lakes, ML, etc.)
• Ability to fully understand and design architecture
• An understanding of situational discussion and thinking outside the box as a strategic creative method for identifying and mastering previously unknown solutions
• Excellent ability to quickly grasp the complex interdependencies and requirements of an agile digital company and derive appropriate strategies, architectures, concepts, and measures, and to communicate and implement these in a clear manner
• Strong communication skills and the ability to assert yourself, as well as diplomatic skills when communicating with relevant stakeholders, in particular with members of the development team and management
