The impact you will create:

• Holistic Test Strategy: Design, implement, and govern a comprehensive testing strategy across all IaaS products encompassing unit, integration, stage/smoke, system, live system, acceptance, configuration, disaster & recovery, and performance testing.

• Infrastructure Test Engineering: Build robust, reusable automated test primitives and scaffolding specifically for OpenStack, Kubernetes, and distributed API backend/middleware.

• Automated Release Gating: Integrate automated test reporting deep into our development and release workflows. Ensure every code change is automatically attested, verified, and gated before it can be deployed to production.

• Shift-Left & CI/CD Optimization: Restructure test execution to shift testing earlier in the development lifecycle and dependency chain. Improve pipeline performance while maximizing meaningful code coverage.

• Reliability & Performance: Drive product quality by ensuring defects are caught before they reach staging, and validate the performance limits of our infrastructure components under load.

Experience and skills you will need:

• You have extensive, senior-level experience as a Test Architect, SDET, or Backend Engineer designing testing architectures for complex, highly distributed systems or cloud environments & infrastructure.

• Excellent programming skills in Golang and Python for building our test automation.

• Deep, hands-on expertise in testing backend systems, specifically targeting Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and complex REST/gRPC APIs.

• Proven track record of defining overarching strategies that cover the full testing pyramid.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies, infrastructure-as-code, and building systems that can automatically attest to the safety and readiness of production deployments.
